- DO I HAVE TO PAY A MONTHLY FEE TO USE THE SYSTEM?
No. This system calls 911, not an alarm monitoring service. Once you purchase The Agent’s 911 system, there is no other required cost to use it.
- CAN I PURCHASE AN ADDITIONAL ACTIVATOR WITHOUT BUYING A WHOLE SYSTEM?
Yes. Both types of activators (pendant or wristband) are available for purchase. See the order page of the website for more details or call 1-888-4-911NOW.
- DO I HAVE TO HAVE A SEPARATE TELEPHONE NUMBER OR SPECIAL TELEPHONE JACK TO USE THE SYSTEM?
No. The system works off of a standard telephone jack. And it can use the same telephone line that is already connected at the property.
- DOES THE SYSTEM HAVE TO BE PLUGGED INTO A TELEPHONE JACK BY ITSELF?
No. If you need to "share" the telephone jack with both a telephone and the system, connect the system unit to the jack and plug the telephone's cord into the "TEL" slot on the back of the system. Now the telephone will work while the system is connected.
- WILL THE SYSTEM WORK AT A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED PROPERTY THAT DOES NOT HAVE EITHER POWER OR TELEPHONE SERVICE YET?
No. For the system to function, it must have both telephone service and electrical service at the property.
- DOES MY ACTIVATOR JUST WORK WITH THE SYSTEM I PURCHASED?
No. ANY of The Agent’s 911 activators will activate ANY of the Emergency Notification units. So if you are an agent from New York and visit a listing in California, your activator will work with that system.
- HOW BIG IS THE SYSTEM AND IS IT HEAVY?
The Emergency Notification unit is approximately 7” by 9” or the same size as many portable DVD players. The pendant is approximately the size of a key fob used to unlock many cars. The entire system can be stored inside the padded carry case which is included with the system. Altogether, the system weighs less than 1.5 pounds.
