Safety begins with you! Keep the following tips in mind to be a better AGENT:

AWARE: Agents need to be aware of their surroundings at all times. Don't be distracted with paperwork or other little details while showing a property or at an Open House. There is plenty of time for paperwork later.

GO: Agents GO! If you are threatened or just don’t feel right, then GO! Get out of the property. Press the button on your Agent's 911 activator as you leave so that police are notified. (But be sure to call later to explain what happened.) But if you cannot get out, GO to the nearest room and lock yourself in, pressing the button on your activator as soon as you can.

EDUCATE: Good Agents educate themselves on the latest safety tips and take precautions to better protect themselves. In addition, good Agents educate others regarding news and police reports of crimes against real estate professionals. Educating yourself and others is the first line of defense against crime.

NEUTRALIZE: Good Agents do their best to neutralize threats or perceived threats before they ever happen. By keeping yourself in a central location and staying alert, you lessen your chances of becoming a victim.

TEAM: Good Agents are team players. A team works together so everyone can achieve more. So when a team is using The Agent's 911 system at all their listings, everyone feels safer and will perform their jobs better.
